Privacy Policy

Information you give us

• Account details: your name, email, and password (passwords are stored only in encrypted/hashed form), or your basic Google account information if you sign in with Google.

• Profile details: age, gender, height, weight, goal weight, fitness goal, activity level, and similar information you enter to personalize the app.

• Your logs: the meals and foods, water, workouts, and weight entries you record.

• Photos: the food and gym‑equipment photos you scan, and any progress photos you add.

Information we collect automatically

Basic information needed to run the app, such as app version, device type, and in‑app activity, and approximate step/activity data if you grant the relevant permission. We do not sell this data.

Your health & fitness data

Some of what you add to Avitl — your weight and body measurements, meals and nutrition, workouts, and any progress photos — relates to your health and fitness. We treat this as sensitive information. We use it only to run the features you ask for: estimating your targets, generating meal and workout suggestions, and tracking your progress. We never sell it and never use it for advertising.

We operate from India and handle your personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can view, edit, export a copy of, or delete this data at any time from within the app, or by emailing support@avitl.com. When you delete your account, your health and fitness data is removed as described in “Data retention”.

Avitl is a wellness and fitness app, not a medical service. Your data is not used to diagnose or treat any condition, and its estimates are not medical advice.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• provide and operate Avitl;

• estimate your calorie and macronutrient (protein, carbohydrate, and fat) targets and generate personalized meal suggestions, workout suggestions, and an estimated goal plan — calculated from the data you provide and standard formulas;

• recognize food and equipment from the photos you scan, using AI processing;

• track your progress, streaks, and rewards;

• process payments and manage subscriptions;

• provide support, keep the app secure, and improve it.

As explained in our Terms, these outputs are estimates, not medical or professional advice.

AI processing

When you scan a food or equipment photo, the image and related text are sent to our AI/model providers to identify the item and estimate its nutrition or details. We use these providers only to deliver this feature to you.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• service providers who help us run Avitl — such as cloud hosting, our AI/model providers, our payment provider, and email delivery — strictly to perform those services for us;

• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google; and

• authorities, if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

These providers may use your data only as needed to provide their service to us.

Payments

Payments are handled by our third‑party payment provider (such as Razorpay). We do not store your full card or banking details; the provider processes them under its own privacy policy.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secured servers, and information is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we are required to keep certain records by law.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your profile in the app, change your notification preferences, and delete your account and associated data at any time from the app — or by contacting us at support@avitl.com. Deleting your account removes your personal data as described above.

Children

Avitl is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

International users

Avitl is operated from India, and your information may be processed there and by our service providers. By using Avitl, you consent to this.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
